Social enterprises and social impact investors converged on the 14th-15th September for TBN’s Jakarta Conference. This conference was to educate social enterprises and investors from South East Asia to understand the influence of social investing and enterprises on the business environment.
With speakers and workshops running both days, an abundance of knowledge was shared from social enterprises, social impact investors, government bodies, NGOs, and many more. Exhibitors displayed their social enterprises products and stories, ranging from floating hospitals to hand-woven materials made by disadvantaged individuals.
On the Thursday afternoon, PLUS ran a matching session for social enterprises from across South East Asia to meet with investors. This match-making session helped to build relationships between social enterprises and the investors and gain wider connections throughout South East Asia.
