ANGIN team was delighted to attend a talk show organized by founder.id (10/10) at Jakarta Digital Valey. The sharing session was centered on the topic of ‘How To Grow, Scale, and Fund Your Business’ with three experts each sharing their insights and experience in growing their business, scaling up, and access to funding. The speakers invited were Sukan Makmuri, CTO at Kudo; Norman Sasono, Co-founder and CTO of Bizzy.co.id; and angel investor Arya Setiadharma.
In session 1, Sukan Makmuri shared to the audience the secret of product development from his experiences navigating and overcoming challenges prior and during his time in Kudo. This includes having a good idea of your customer persona, their pain points, your business and revenue model, validation model, as well as upcoming operational challenges. Moreover, he also shared some perspective on the secret of people development, discussing the topic of how to grow people from the inside.
In session 2, Norman Sasono discussed the types of growth seen in startups; linear and exponential. Especially from the technology point of view, he explained the characteristics startups should have in order to be durable in the digital era. He also put special attention on measuring each of your activities and the importance of data to make future projections and decisions.
In session 3, Arya Setiadharma talked about the order and progress of startup companies when creating their Minimum Viable Product (MVP). He cleared that founders should not be afraid to launch an imperfect first product and that improvements should come along with the feedbacks on the product itself. With a range of around 30 portfolio companies invested by Arya, he shared his views on what companies are worth to invest, which was insightful for the audience who were mostly founders, co-founders, and employees in a startup.
It was enjoyable for ANGIN team to see the growth of curiosity and proactive learning of the startup ecosystem players in Indonesia. We fully support events such as this, we can’t wait for the next events and meet new interesting startups and speakers!
