Gender Lens Investing Workshop in Bangkok

“Gender Lens Investing” is the use of investment to generate sustainable impact to improve livelihood of women as well as achieving gender equality and empower all women and girls as outlined by the U.N. Sustainable Development Goal #5. There is increasing interest in this field across Asia given the initiatives taken up by various stakeholders across different sectors; international development sector, venture philanthropy organizations, impact investors, social investment networks and more.
However, due to the pioneering nature of the issue, there is still a lack of sharing and collaboration among key players. Therefore, there is a great opportunity for the ecosystem mapping of the landscape, understanding gaps and opportunities in order to align resources, knowledge and tools as well as exploring collaborative and partnership opportunities. This will allow for synergetic and collective impact of those players with common ‘gender lens’ objective in the Asian region.
This workshop, therefore, aims to bring different players with presence in Asia region to
● Exchange best practices & share insights.
● Collectively identify critical gaps and opportunities in gender lens investing.
● Co-create strategic regional roadmap for collaborative opportunities
● Potentially forming a collaborative network leading to a better ‘gender lens investing’ ecosystem in the region.
