ANGIN team attended the Millennium Challenge Account’s Market Development Forum on Wednesday, December 13th 2017 in Balai Kartini, Jakarta. The topic for the forum was “Women’s Empowerment in the Green Economy: Market Development through Innovation and Access to Networks”.
The main objective of the forum was to facilitate meetings, exchange of information among the participants, and ultimately to support women empowerment through low-carbon economy.
There were three moderated business dialogues organised during the forum. The first dialogue was about entrepreneurship and the development of green products, in which Du’Anyam was one of the panels. The other two discussed about “the green commodity, marketing strategy and innovation through technology”, and “the entrepreneurship and access to finance and capacity for women”, respectively. On this third session, the UNDP Indonesia spoke about Connector.ID and how this online platform can support entrepreneurs across Indonesia in simplifying the process of accessing finance.
In addition, there was also a business showcase from the MCA participants throughout the duration of the forum, where the participants creatively display their green products sourced from all over Indonesia.
