Friday, Sept 14 2018 – Riaz Bhardwaj from Angel Investment Indonesia (ANGIN) had the honor to be one of the judges forThe 4th Industrial Revolution Idea Hub Demo Day along with Mr. Donal Wihardja from Convergence Ventures, Mr. Aldi Hartanto from Metra Digital Innovation (MDI) and Ms. Chrisvania Nyssa from Merah Putih Inc.
There were 10 Korean startups brought by Korean government agency, who were looking for feedback and insights from Indonesia’s local investors. These 10 startups were also the winners of a hackathon organized by Korean government earlier. Through his program, startups were expected to experience, knowledge and understand more about the Indonesia market and local ecosystem players.

1st winner : Calliope
Calliope is an educational platform for deaf or hard of hearing people who want to study English
2nd winner: Reducal
Reducal is a device and monitoring system to monitor the health of pets.
3rd winner : Flying Farmer
Flying Farmer works by fostering “ Drone Managers” who can control insect pests, sow seeds and conduct/analyze infrared videos with a drone and matching them with farmlands/farmers who need support for farming at a reduced cost.
Majority of the founders of these startups were still in the university. It was exciting to see such young budding entrepreneurs bringing very innovative ideas to the table. A commendable initiative by the Korean government to support and foster entrepreneurship amongst youth.
This event was organized by MarkPlus and four other Korean organizations, supported by the Korean government.
