On 23 April 2019, ANGIN team helped Antler to organize Antler Entrepreneurship Hour Jakarta at WeWork Revenue Tower, Jakarta. This session’s aim was to showcase antler startup generator program (next batch will begin on July 15), targeting talented individuals across Southeast Asia. Antler will provide funding, assistance, and access to its extensive global network since startups’ inception.
Different approach towards investment; instead of focusing on business ideas, Antler focuses on finding people with exceptional skills and personality. Founder can join without having a company. It will provide individual grant to selected founders and match them with the right mentors. The program will run for 6 months. It demands full-time commitment where founders will have to reside at the designated city and build their dream company from scratch.
In this session, Hadi Wenas shared his learned lessons from his 7 years experience working in e-commerce industry in Indonesia. He is one of pioneer of e-commerce in Indonesia after leading Zalora and MatahariMall. He emphasizes that as a founder, do not try to work everything on your own, and hire people smarter than you are. He also shared that building partnership with experts who know better can help to assist you on fundraising experience.
