On 30 April 2019, ANGIN shared the learning and experience in a Spotlight Series held by WeWork at Revenue Tower, Jakarta. This session’s topic was Gender Lens Investing, with respect to the celebration of the International Women’s Day in March and Kartini Day in April. Lately, Gender Lens Investing has been a buzzword in the investment landscape. Not only that it contributes to women empowerment, it is believed that using gender-lens approach in the investment decision can help improve gender equity. Eventually, it will promote better livelihood for the society.
Benedikta Atika, the Impact Investment Lead, and Valencia Dea, the former team member, shared the definition of Gender Lens Investing and discussed the misconception around Gender Lens Investing. We also presented ANGIN’s approach in closing the gender gap, especially in current entrepreneurship landscape in Indonesia.
