On 10-12 May 2019, KUMPUL organized Startup Weekend Indonesia – Bali an event aimed to educate people on how to create a startup with experienced mentors from Gringgo, SecondMuse, Foodcious.com, Hubud, Tanibox, and other institutions. The audiences learned how to use make business model, idea validation, prototyping, to pitching all in just 54 hours. In the end, there will be pitching competition and three startups will came out as winners. This event was held in Kembali Innovation Hub, Seminyak, Bali.
The judges for this event are Dennis Alund (Co-Founder of KUMPUL), Nyoman Sukadana (CEO of Elizabeth School Bali), Astrid Juanita (CEO of Panen.id), and Sarah as ANGIN’s representative in Bali. After the pitching competition and a tough discussion, the judges announced three winners, which are:
1. Alihgae – platform to seek entry level or part time job for fresh graduates.
2. The Guru – apps to find Yoga mentors & find yoga community.
3. Micepedia – platform that acts as an intermediary between event organizing vendors and its client.
Overall, the event was well-attended and even reach its full-capacity. ANGIN would like to congratulate the winners and those who attended for pitching a diverse and great business ideas. ANGIN is grateful to be part of Startup Weekend Bali and its local startup ecosystem.
