The Promotion of Rural Women Entrepreneurship (PRO-WOMEN) held a learning event on Tuesday, December 10 in Mataram. The learning event aimed to increase stakeholder awareness and give insight into the implementation of regional economic development through the acceleration of small and medium scale businesses, provide support and strengthen coordination through workshops and facilitation planning between stakeholders, and project handover to beneficiaries and local government.
The event was attended by 47 budding MSME entrepreneurs that were curated and trained for a year by Usaha Sosial as a part of bio energy conversion by Rumah Energi and Ford Foundation. Head of ANGIN Impact, Saskia Tjokro shared about the importance of scaling and growing business and ‘smart money’ essence.
PRO-WOMEN not only highlighted achievement in entrepreneurship, in this program they also introduced ‘growth mindset’, a belief that a person’s capability is dynamic and can always be improved. The growth is evident in the increase of the women’s confidence to run their businesses, and also to build networks to develop potential collaborations.
