The NextDev Summit 2019 is an initiative by Telkomsel which aims to increase the scalability of technopreneurs through personal development, technical assistance, competition, design sprint, branding, and product development. The NextDev is a conference with a focus on technology that brings social impact which supports, inspires, and connects people related to ecosystem development in Indonesia along with the attendance of eligible local and foreign speakers who are mobilizers and have expertise in the digital ecosystem.
David Soukhasing joined the event as a speaker on a panel called “The Hustler’s Guide to Angel Investing” on Saturday, December 7 2019 at Jakarta Convention Center in Senayan. David shared the panel with Kevin Moon (Head of Impact Investment Londsdale Capital) and Wonyoung Kim (Executive Director Crevisse Partners). The panel was a part of The NextDev’s theme, “Social Impact and Go Beyond”, which aimed to grow the startup ecosystem and Indonesian digital economy with social impact.
David shared about ANGIN’s commitment to be the first layer of funding to create new champion entrepreneurs and shared his experience with meeting startups. Kevin Moon talked about how the Indonesian government embraced startup culture and shared his considerations when deciding to give investment. Wonyoung Kim shared the importance of social impact to innovation and technology, because technology creates innovation and innovation creates social impact.
