ANGIN (Angel Investment Network Indonesia) has built the largest independent early stage investment platform in Indonesia. ANGIN services more than 100 investors, not only angel investors but also Venture Capital Firms, Impact Investors, Foundations and Corporates who desire to invest in Indonesia entrepreneurship. Over the last 4 years, ANGIN has supported more than 70 innovative startups such as Kitabisa, Kargo, Burgreens.
ANGIN has always been more than an investment platform, and has played a leading role in supporting the Indonesian entrepreneurship ecosystem through its consulting services with a broad range of clients. This includes local government organizations, multilateral organizations (e.g. UNDP, World Bank) and corporate clients such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Bringing the right partners in who understand our work and share our values has always been a key asset to the development of ANGIN. In 2019, ANGIN closed its first seed round from 500 Startups and three prominent Indonesian investors: Shinta Kamdani, Pak Diono Nurjadin (CEO of Cardig International) and Jefrey Joe (Managing Director and Co-Founder of Alpha JWC).
In 2020, FundedHere comes as a new addition to the established group of shareholders. The Managing Director of ANGIN, David Soukhasing, opines,“ We are very honored to be able to work with Daniel and his team. They not only firmly believe and share our values and vision, but also bring the Singapore startup ecosystem to our investors and entrepreneurs here in Indonesia. This will accelerate our mutual footprint in Southeast Asia.”
FundedHere is Singapore’s first MAS-licensed equity and debt crowdfunding platform and aspires to connect the most promising startups and companies to strategic investors through its regulated platform. The platform has close to 1,800 investors where more than 75% of them are accredited investors. FundedHere has reviewed more than 1,500 companies to date and has successfully raised more than USD 12 million over 26 campaigns.
Daniel Lin, Co-Founder and CEO of FundedHere, says, “This investment into ANGIN will further strengthen the investment thesis; where exposure to innovation is centred around Indonesia’s immense growth potential, coupled with the strong legal and investment framework that Singapore possesses. Investors on both our platforms will now have exposure to these cross-border opportunities. We are delighted to be able to work with David and his team to grow this together.”
