Indofishery.id was born as a solution for the fisheries sector. It was built by its Co-Founders to provide a convenience and excellent service for consumers, fishermen, cultivators and also the fishing industry, so as to create a good and sustainable fisheries sector ecosystem.
With current technological advances, consumer behavior in shopping activities has also experienced a shift where they prefer to go through applications and online. This happens because it is considered more practical, efficient, and also has quality. This shift in behavior, unfortunately, is not followed by fishermen, cultivators and other fishery industry sectors in Indonesia.
Indofishery.id appears as an answer, not only for consumers, but also for producers in the current fishery industry sector. This is due to their vision and enthusiasm regarding the economic progress of the fisheries sector, and the positive impact to achieve a superior and sustainable fisheries sector.
Integrating a Digital Solution for Fisheries during the Pandemic
Changes in consumer behavior in today’s technological advances must be responded positively and quickly by industrial behavior, including in the fisheries sector. Shopping online has become a part and habit of society today. Especially during the current Covid pandemic, people are required to always live healthy as well as make minimal physical contact and avoid crowds which are currently recommended by health protocols in any country in the world. These are the underlying factors for Indofishery.id to provide answers for consumers to be able to get their needs without neglecting the recommended health protocols implemented by the Government.
They offer a system as a solution for both consumers and fishermen, where they apply quality control to the products that will be distributed to consumers, starting from providing education on how the fish is caught or cultured properly, handling during the continuing process after the fish is caught, packaging using good and attractive packaging, to distribution until the product is received by consumer. They also provide a guarantee that the product quality is handled properly by professionals in their fields.
The Indofishery.id’s system can be an answer and a solution for the consumers segment who are familiar with technology and the internet, whose prioritize convenience, practicality, and efficiency in shopping for their daily needs. They provide excellent service for consumers both in terms of product quality and also relatively fast distribution times. The fisheries system solution that they created is also very suitable for archipelagic countries that have abundant natural resource potential, but have not found the right system and market to get more optimal sales results.
The Indofishery.id application system can be applied to people or consumers who want to live an easier, more practical, and healthier life. As we know, fish is a good source of protein for the body. However, not all potential customers have sufficient time and expertise in choosing fish with the best quality. This is one of their short-term targets or goals that consumers can feel immediately.
Through their system, fishermen and the fish industry can also get the marketing benefit to quickly sell their products. They also implement quality control so that in addition to benefiting consumers in the short term, in the medium term fishermen and the fishing industry are slowly starting to be educated on the importance of quality and how to apply good handling to the fish they catch until they are accustomed to doing it and it becomes their mandatory SOPs. The other medium short-term target is to invite the public and professionals to be more actively involved so that the impact on the environment can be felt through labor absorption and also good handling processes so as to ensure environmental sustainability in the future.
In the long term, Indofishery.id wants to present a solution so anyone can consume fish of the highest quality at an affordable price. They will implement the packing of fishery products properly and attractively, so consumers can easily identify the best quality of fish when shopping for their daily grocery needs. In addition, they are trying to implement a partnership system with the community so that they can be involved in Indofishery.id’s system where their partners can find good quality and affordable fish that is closer and easily accessible to the community. This applies not only for coastal communities but also for the community residing in mountainous and high plains areas.
Through the Indofishery.id application, in the long term they can control the amount of fish consumption in a certain area. This is also important for the Government to obtain accurate data on per capita fish consumption in their regions and can be used as an analytical study in their respective regions.
Indofishery.id’s Milestones to Date and Their Plan Moving Forward
Currently, Indofishery.id has more than 2000 active users who use the Indofishery.id platform. The Partner and Retailer system that they have developed since February 2020 in the B2C sector is quite effective and has provided positive results for the absorption of partner fish catch. In accordance with the vision of supporting everyone to enjoy seafood easily, cheaply and the quality is maintained, Indofishery.id has 16 agents and more than 100 resellers in Central Java.
In 2021, Indofishery.id will focus on the B2C sector by releasing a new platform that connects partners and resellers in one digital application. This platform makes it easy for agent and reseller partners to make sales. In addition, through the new platform, it will have an impact on increasing the absorption of the catch of fishermen partners. In the second quarter of 2021, Indofishery.id targets to have a production miniplant to provide even better product quality.
The Indofishery.id management team has extensive experience in business development, especially in the fisheries sector which in the future will be very helpful and have a positive impact on the sustainability and success of Indofishery.id’s business.

Is one of the best graduates from one of the best universities (top 10) in Indonesia, and in the top 3 of fisheries University, where he completed his studies with a cum laude degree
child of a small traditional fisherman, so he really understands how to make a system that is useful and has a positive impact, both for consumers and for fishermen themselves. This happens because Abdul Khamid created the Indofishery.id system from direct evaluation and learning in the field of current phenomena, especially in the fisheries sector.
Fazlur Rahman Aziz, Co-Founder (CMO)
For a CMO, it is important to be actively involved in various organizations and communities, both the business community and the fishing community. He is active in organizations and communities both on a national and international scale. On an international scale, he is listed as a member of CISIP (Community of International Science Industry Parks). He holds a Master’s Degree of Management at Diponegoro University.
Bahtera Sebhastyan, Co-Founder (CTO)
He is a graduate in Fisheries at one of the best universities in Indonesia. He has been involved in fisheries, especially fishery product processing since 2011. As a CTO, he has a related certificate regarding the processing of fishery products, one of which is HACCP. He is professional and very knowledgeable about product and factory certification, such as SKP for the Indonesian national scale, halal certification, GMP, and HACCP for international certification.
