On Tuesday, 12 March 2019, Accelerating Asia Ventures, a Singapore-based VC firm which targets early-stage startups with high-growth potential in Southeast Asia organized an event called Accelerating Asia Ventures Presentation 2019. Recently, they entered the Indonesian market and this event was aimed to share about the Accelerating Asia Ventures program. The event was held at 25th floor of WeWork Revenue Tower.
Accelerating Asia Ventures were represented by Craig Bristol Dixon as CEO and Amra Naidoo as Partnerships & Operations Director. From the event, they informed the audience that Accelerating Asia Ventures has a 4-month acceleration program, from which then the startups that fulfill their criteria will be given investment. Startups that qualify for the acceleration program must at least have operational product, users/customers, and calculated revenue.
Accelerating Asia Ventures targets the Southeast Asia market for its immense growth potential, predicted to reach 240 billion SGD by 2025. This potential is reflected in how startups in Accelerating Asia Ventures had raised 10 million SGD of follow-on funding in 12 months.
