Organized by Block71 Jakarta, Her Time to Shine is a platform created to empower women within tech and startup community. In this platform, talented female leader and innovator are invited to speak in the session, sharing their knowledge and achievements to inspire other women within the industry. The theme for Her Time to Shine held on 9th of July was “Startup Fundraising: Startup Due Diligence Checklist” with Vanessa Tanuwijaya, CEO and Founder of PrepareLabs, as the speaker. Representatives from ANGIN were Benedikta Atika, Gema Minang and Novi Juwita.
Vanessa opened the sharing session, telling how the startup industry is still fairly young and for the past 3-4 years, many creative startups were born but not many have survived. The main topic discussed was how to understand investment due diligence process and what investors would like to see before making investment decisions. Some of the main factors are the company’s business model, profitability and valuation, noting that knowing your company’s valuation increases your credibility in investors’ eyes.
As the session was closed with a short Q&A session, our team had the opportunity to connect with Vanessa. We are excited to engage with PrepareLab for potential collaborations in the future to expand our outreach and support more impactful growth for the startups in our ecosystem.
