On 21 September 2019, ANGIN attended Finference 2019, a conference held by the Finance and Investment Society of Prasetiya Mulya University. This year’s theme was about “the Industrial Revolution 4.0”. In this event, there were 30+ experienced speakers from different industries divided into 4 rooms for different topics. There was also an exhibition participated by various startups, such as education, financial services, health, robotics, and augmented reality games.
David Soukhasing, ANGIN’s Managing Director, was invited once again as a panel speaker and Benedikta Atika, ANGIN’s Impact Investment Lead, became the moderator of a panel discussion on the main stage: Star Room. Here, we shared our insights on how to win a series funding. The other speakers on the panel were Silvia Hanika (Portfolio Manager of East Ventures), Diatce Harahap (CEO of BJ Tech), and Varance Pascal (CEO of C@C).
We saw a big crowd during the session, as it was a very popular topic among the audience, consisting of students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and early-stage startups, who are planning their way to series funding from beginning.
Such a discussion is important to help entrepreneurs understand whether they should fundraise and how to map out the relevant investors. As mentioned in the session, there are two key things to be noted by entrepreneurs when investors examine a business: they emphasize on the founders and the traction of the business.
As part of our commitment in growing the entrepreneurship ecosystem, we are happy to contribute in this event. We would love to see more inspiring youth entering the space and becoming the future business champions.
