[CALL FOR APPLICATION] Disaster Tech Innovation Programme

Asia-Pacific nations experience more natural disasters than any other region – a person living in the region is five times more likely to be affected.
To address the losses from natural disasters, Prudence Foundation and AVPN have launched the Disaster Tech Innovation Programme. The Programme is centered around an international competition that aims to identify and scale technology-based solutions that complement and enhance existing disaster risk reduction efforts in Asia-Pacific and ultimately help reduce human and economic losses. Both for-profit and not-profit social purpose organisations are welcome to join.
Finalists stand a chance to win grants from a total pool of USD 150,000 to support the implementation and scaling up of their technology. Finalists will also be invited to showcase their solutions at the Deal Share Live session that will take place at the AVPN Conference in June 2019, the largest gathering of social impact funders and resource providers in Asia. In addition, finalists will receive networking opportunities, mentorship and technical expertise and the opportunity to be listed on AVPN’s Deal Share Platform to explore and increase visibility among potential collaborators.
This Programme supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals and is aligned with SDGs 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 13 (Climate Action).
